Chef Matty Hart Spits The Best Trash Talk I’ve Ever Seen!

by

Chef Matty Hart keeps it real. He’s a super talented chef who gets people laughing with his quick wit, pop culture references and easy-going nature. I think you’ll see what I mean in this I Love CVille feature.

Matty spits some of the best trash talk I’ve ever seen in this entertaining video, which we shot on his home court: The Local Restaurant and Catering in Belmont.

Matty offers fun perspective on why his wife, Junction Executive Chef Melissa Close-Hart, will beat Hamiltons’ at First & Main Executive Chef Curtis Shaver on Monday, August 13 in The Duel Chef Showdown Championship at Tin Whistle Irish Pub.

Matty, the executive chef at The Local, will serve as the sous chef for Melissa in her quest to become the first-ever Charlottesville Duel Chef Showdown Champion. Curtis will partner with friend and rising star Hunter Harding, who both do a tremendous job of innovating at Hamiltons’ at First & Main.

To purchase tickets for the “Duel Chef Showdown” championship, please visit DuelChefShowdown.com. For $60, you get eight dishes and you vote the BEST CHEF in Charlottesville. A portion of the proceeds are donated to local charity.

This is the best culinary deal in CVille, friends.
