Karin Straley runs Animal Connections, an all-volunteer rescue group that matches homeless animals with caring animal lovers. I spoke to Karin at Dog Fest 2018, presented by Animal Connection, about her organization.
Animal Connections is a non-profit all-volunteer organization that provides pet adoptions in Virginia. This rescue group matches homeless dogs with forever homes through their Foster-to-Adoption program. Foster families are located in Charlottesville and the surrounding area.
Although they are not formally affiliated with any particular animal shelter, many of their rescued animals come from high-kill or local shelters. There are many wonderful dogs waiting for good homes. They can often can be seen on weekends in Charlottesville at special events locations.
