When you see Teri Kent pounding the bricks on The Charlottesville Downtown Mall, you’re immediately struck by a cheerful, confident and charismatic businesswoman.
In 2008, Teri founded Better World Betty, a popular Charlottesville resource for “going green.” Betty helps people and businesses make more environmentally-friendly choices one step at a time.
“Better World Betty is all about sustainable living,” Teri said on I Love CVille. “I just thought, in the environmental world, there wasn’t a fun and friendly attitude about sustainability. So, that’s why we created this “Betty.” She’s your go-to gal. You can ask her anything “eco-wise,” and she has the answer!!”
Teri is also the Director of Programs and Communication at the Charlottesville Climate Collaborative, which is focused on spurring climate action at the local level through a cross-sector and collaborative approach. CCC’s mission is for Charlottesville to be a climate leader.
