James River Brewery first opened in 2012. It is located in a 19th century brick tobacco warehouse in historic Scottsville just up the road from the beautiful James River. Reopening in 2015 under new management, James River Brewery sports a renovated taproom and beer garden!

Every weekend James River Brewery hosts great live music. Fridays are Open Music Jam Night where anyone can get on stage. Saturdays and Sundays they are host to live music events; check out their Events Page to see who is scheduled to play!

James River Brewery won the 5th annual Virginia Craft Brewers’ Cup, scoring Best in Show for its River Runner ESB. They also won Gold in the 2015 Virginia Beer Cup for their Fluvanna Fluss and Bronze for their Green Eyed Lady!

James River Brewery features a delicious rotating tap of ten great beers. They have 5 staple beers and an ever-changing list of seasonal craft beers.
