MISSION BBQ loves giving back to all the veterans and active duty service members! Armed Forces Week allows them to thank these men and women by offering them free sandwiches starting on Monday, May 15th!

At MISSION BBQ, they are Proudly Serving Those Who Serve. They believe that there is nothing more American than BBQ and nobody more American than the brave men and women who have sworn to protect and serve our communities and our country! Every day at MISSION BBQ the music turns off at noon, the televisions on the wall display the American flag and everyone stands with hand over heart to join in our nation’s National Anthem to honor those who serve our country!

The walls at MISSION BBQ are filled with pictures and symbols of the bravery and courage of American service members. Local American Heroes come in and share their stories or donate a patch or picture to be hung on the wall. MISSION BBQ opened on 9/11 and they continue to pay tribute to America’s Heroes! Many of the staff members at MISSION BBQ are former service members and they take pride in being a part of something meaningful and significant!

Here is the team that makes it all happen at MISSION BBQ: Craig Briggs, Director of Operations for Central VA; Elizabeth Jensen, Head of Catering; Danny Campos, Pit Master; Serrine Sorrell, Community Ambassador; and Jeremy Vaughan, General Manager. This stellar team have various ties to the service and love being part of something meaningful right here at home!

It’s hard to miss the “BAMBAM” truck outside MISSION BBQ. The acronym stands for “Big And Mobile BBQ Assault Machine” and this monster of a truck was a part of Desert Storm! Get your next big event catered by MISSION BBQ and they will send “BAMBAM” to smoke your BBQ on-site. Who wouldn’t want this “BBQ assault machine” at their event?!

MISSION BBQ has exceptional food that is made fresh daily with no microwaves or freezers! All of the meats are dry rubbed and wood smoked, they have eleven sauces made in house to choose from and everything is delicious!!!

MISSION BBQ offers a special cup that is yours to keep and is sized to handle any thirst. Bring the cup in whenever you want for $.99 refills. $2 of each cup purchased is donated to support worthy organizations. All donations this quarter go to support the USO. “The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.”

MISSION BBQ sends hand written Thank You notes and Free Sandwich cards every month to men and women getting recognized by local fire departments, police departments and military bases! They also donate food regularly to local service organizations around town. Our service members put their lives on the line every day and MISSION BBQ is helping to thank them!
When it comes to food, America only has true ownership of one thing: BBQ. That’s an Awesome responsibility and it’s one MISSION BBQ takes very seriously.
