The weather is finally getting dang nice! Bring your furry pal to these dog friendly spots. They’ll be pawing to keep going back!
1. Historic Downtown Mall
East and West Main St, Charlottesville, VA, 22902

I’d say this is the most dog friendly spot in Charlottesville area. It’s hard to go Downtown and not see a dog there. They even have an event every year during Halloween called “Doggie Howl-O-Ween” where people bring their dogs and enter them into a costume contest.
2. Trump Winery
100 Grand Cru Dr, Charlottesville, VA 22902

With an incredible view and large area to explore, your buddy will be very happy you brought them. While you get your wine on, your doggie can mingle with the other dogs there. The dog pictured above is my parent’s Bernedoodle, Cooper. He’s on Instagram, so go and follow him! (@CooperChauncey0410)
3. Humpback Rock
Humpback Rock, Rockfish, VA 22920

There are a bunch of dog friendly trails on Humpback Rock. Once you get to the top, it’s pretty rewarding and amazing to look out on the whole town around you and your dog.
4. Claudius Crozet Park
1075 Park Road, Crozet, VA, 22932

There is a vast amount of space for your doggie to run wild. Pretty soon they will be adding an official dog area to the park. It will have water spigots, bag dispensers and benches.
5. Blue Mountain Brewery
9519 Critzers Shop Road, Afton, VA 22920

At Blue Mountain there’s a dog friendly patio outside. When the weather is this incredible, everyone is outside with their furry friends, enjoying a glass of cold beer.
6. Stinson Vineyards
4744 Sugar Hollow Rd, Crozet, VA 22932

Dogs are very welcomed here at Stinson. They are even allowed to come into the tasting room with you! They’ll give treats too!
7. UVa Grounds
West Main/ University Avenue, Charlottesville, VA, 22903

With the weather being so lovely, take your dog on a walk around UVa grounds. The Corner is a great spot to walk around. The Lawn on grounds is a staple when the weather is this nice. Some restaurants on The Corner even have their own water dog bowls so you don’t have to worry about it!
