Legendary Charlottesville pool player Bobby Anderson won the first-ever “I Love CVille Pool Tournament” Tuesday night at the Lazy Parrot Backyard. Anderson, arguably the top shooter in Central Virginia, captured the 8-ball crown after defeating an 18-player field in the double elimination weekly tournament.

Lee “Young Buck” Staton finished in second place. Staton, one of the best bar table players in Charlottesville, beat “Touchdown” Tony (3rd place) and “Downtown” Dale (4th place) to advance to the championship match. Jerry Miller rounded out the top 5.

The “I Love CVille Pool Tournament” will take place every Tuesday night at 7 pm at the Lazy Parrot Backyard on Pantops. The tables open at 7 pm for warm-up with the tournament starting promptly at 7:30 pm. The Lazy Parrot Backyard is kindly offering $7 pizzas, a $2 “Beer of the Month” and $3.50 Fireballs/Jaeger shots every Tuesday night during the pool tournament.
