1. Protection from Covid-19 is achieved 28 days after the initial vaccination, which consists of a two-dose schedule. Based on current projections, Pfizer and BioNTech expect to produce up to 50 million vaccine doses in 2020, and up to 1.3 billion doses in 2021. The vaccine requires two doses per person. In July, the companies reached a nearly $2 billion agreement with the U.S. government to supply 100 million doses.

2. The University received 2,918 early decision applications and 28,884 early action applications for the Class of 2025. This marks a 35 percent increase in early decision applications as compared to the 2,157 early decision applications for the Class of 2024. The early action applicant pool saw a 15 percent increase compared to 25,122 early action applications for the Class of 2024.

4. All Chesterfield County, Virginia students are attending in-person school starting today. All sixth- through 12th-graders, approximately 34,000 students, joined the nearly 28,600 students already back in school.
