Caring For Creatures Volunteer Ashleigh Morris Joined Mary Birkholz & Jerry Miller On “The Caring For Creatures Show!”

The focus on “The Caring For Creatures Show” today was dog training! Mary Birkholz, the founder & president of Caring For Creatures was joined by Dog Trainer Ashleigh Morris. “The Caring For Creatures Show” is broadcast every Thursday at 3 pm on The I Love CVille Network!

Ashleigh has been invaluable to Caring For Creatures in helping dogs overcome challenging behavior. She educated us on best practices in dog training and challenged some of our notions about teaching our pooches good behavior.

Some of the topics Ashleigh touched on include: preparing your home for a new dog, acclimating your dog to his/her new home, positive reinforcement training and clicker training. She was kind enough to provide a demo where she showed examples of dog training with shop dog Liza.

Caring For Creatures, Central Virginia’s first no-kill animal sanctuary, has saved the lives of thousands of animals across the country. Mary and her team adopt the animals on the KILL LIST and bring them to Caring For Creatures in Fluvanna County.

Mary is AN ABSOLUTE SAINT!!
