Meet Corey Fanning, Assistant Manager Of Greenberry’s Coffee Co. In Charlottesville, Virginia

Jerry Miller: Hey, guys, it’s Jerry Miller. I’m outside Greenberry’s Coffee at Barracks Road Shopping Center with the Assistant Manager, Corey Fanning.

Corey Fanning: Yes!

Jerry Miller: Thank you for joining us.

Corey Fanning: Yeah, no problem.

Jerry Miller: I enjoy talking with you. You’re here all the time, so you know the Greenberry’s brand inside and out. Why don’t we start open-ended: Can you put Greenberry’s in perspective for us?

Corey Fanning: This is literally a home away from home. This is where people come to hang out, wake up and just enjoy themselves.

Jerry Miller: One of the things I’ve noticed about you, Corey, just by watching you. You’re bubbly, you’re personable, you’re outgoing, you have gotten to know the customers and it seems to me the customers are turning into friends and family.

Corey Fanning: Absolutely!! Every day people come in and it’s nice to just see the same faces, new faces, just that interaction is what it’s all about.

Jerry Miller: And I think your family is a microcosm of that community. You’re brother worked here…

Corey Fanning: Yes!!

Jerry Miller: Connor Fanning, and now Corey Fanning is working here. How did that happen?

Corey Fanning: He asked me if I wanted to join him one day. He said, “I’m moving, do you want to hang out for a bit before I go?” I said, “I would love to!” So he brought me in and helped train me.

Jerry Miller: Very cool! Do you have any favorites from a coffee standpoint: hot, iced, nitro, food?

Corey Fanning: Absolutely, I do. I come in here, I start my day with at least two Supremo cups of Cold Brew, black, no ice.

Jerry Miller: Wow!

Corey Fanning: That’s all I live off of, I’m pretty sure that’s what’s running through my veins.

Jerry Miller: So maybe that’s why you’re so bubbly and outgoing?

Corey Fanning: Definitely a big part of it!!

Jerry Miller: How about food-wise?

Corey Fanning: Food-wise, I am a big sucker for the Farm Fresh Sandwich in the mornings. Later on I get the Stacked Turkey Wrap, but with extra bacon in there.

Jerry Miller: Very nice, very nice!
