Tavola Executive Chef Dylan Allwood advanced to the Elite 8 of The Duel Chef Showdown with a, 177-95, win over Harrison Keevil on Monday night at Tin Whistle Irish Pub.
In The Duel Chef Showdown, each chef prepares four courses, and then the guests vote their favorite dish after each course.
Dylan, the talented chef from Tavola in Belmont, won all four courses, including a significant 64-point margin of victory in the fourth course (desserts). Harrison, the owner/chef at Keevil & Keevil Grocery and Kitchen and the executive chef at Commonwealth Restaurant & Skybar, was neck-and-neck (111-93) with Dylan heading into the dessert course.
Dylan advances to the Elite 8 where he will face the winner of Matty Hartwell vs. John Shanesy. Matty, the executive chef at The Local Restaurant and Catering, will go toe-to-toe with John, the executive chef at The Whiskey Jar, on Monday, October 8.
