Is The Jefferson Theater pivoting part of its model from a live music venue to a “Boutique Hotel?” 🧐 🧐 I saw this a-frame sign in front of The Jefferson yesterday around 2:30 pm.
When I visited JeffHotel.com yesterday afternoon, I saw various mall-front boutique hotel rooms that were available for reservation ASAP. Prices ranged from $150+ per night. 💰 💰
However, when I visit JeffHotel.com now, I see a website that has not been launched yet and is clearly being kept “hush hush” by ownership. 🤫🤫
Guys, The Downtown Mall is like the Wild West right now!!
The Downtown Grille, Commonwealth Skybar and Bluegrass Grill are closed permanently.
Red Pump Kitchen reopened for two weeks and then decided to throw in the towel until at least the Fall.
The C-Ville Weekly canned 33% of its staff.
Now, The Jefferson Theater is showing signs of pivoting a portion of its model because the future of a live music venue is up in the air. 😳😳
WTF! 🤬🤬
And, still, Charlottesville leadership has done nothing innovative or entrepreneurial to help small businesses survive. 🙄🙄 ~ I Love CVille
