Vietnam Memorial Activist Jim Carpenter Joined Jerry Miller On The I ❤️ CVille Show!

by

Jim Carpenter, the owner of Gitchell’s Photography Studio, joined me on The I Love CVille Show to spotlight his advocacy for more convenient public access for military veterans and their families at the Dogwood Vietnam Memorial. The Dogwood Vietnam Memorial, which is located in Charlottesville, Virginia, was the first Vietnam memorial constructed in the United States.

Jim and I had a sincere and emotional discussion today that covered Jim’s time as a military serviceman, his storied career as a photographer in CVille and his work as an advocate for Vietnam veterans and their families.

Jim pleaded with Charlottesville City Council and City Hall to rise to the occasion and make this memorial more approachable and convenient for the community.

We are truly grateful that Jim joined us and shared his emotions, his wisdom and his insight. We look forward to having him on The I Love CVille Show again.
