BREAKING NEWS: World of Beer Charlottesville will rebrand as Jefferson Ale House this summer. This rebranding is occurring at nearly the same time as Charlottesville City Council’s efforts to eradicate Thomas Jefferson’s birthday as a holiday from the official City calendar.
World Of Beer, an epicenter for craft beer on West Main Street, will change its name to Jefferson Ale House in the next couple weeks, sources have confirmed with me. You can expect the same lineup of craft beer at Jefferson Ale House, but its ownership group is even more committed to improving the menu and waitstaff customer service.
The owners of World of Beer Charlottesville also own a World of Beer restaurant in Loudoun County, Virginia. This ownership group is currently rebranding its Loudoun restaurant to Jefferson Ale House. Once it is finished in Loudoun, the group will shift its attention to its Charlottesville location.
Charlottesville City Council voted last week to remove Thomas Jefferson’s birthday as an official City holiday.
