3. Comyn Hall
Comyn Hall is the sight of the infamous McCue murder. Some believe it to be haunted.
4. Old Jail No. 5

Old Jail No. 5 is where Mayor McCue was hung for the murder of his wife.
5. Maplewood Cemetery

Maplewood Cemetery is the oldest (and one of the prettiest) cemeteries in Charlottesville. There’s bound to be some cool ghosts.
6. Lafayette Inn

The Lafayette Inn is said to be haunted by a Confederate soldier whose lover was unfaithful.
7. Exchange Hotel Civil War Museum

8. Mary Baldwin College

Mary Baldwin College has several interesting ghost stories, including the occasional appearance of a child’s handprint, an actress and a mischievous soldier.
9. Ubon Thai Victorian Restaurant

This quirky Thai restaurant is rumored to be haunted by Mrs. Bagsby. She is most often seen in room 7.
10. Western State Hospital – Dejarnette Building

This is the site of a sanitarium run by a eugenics supporter. It is rumored to be haunted by former patients.
