Greg Wells and his companies (Intrastate Pest Control, Intrastate Service Company & Valley Termite & Pest Control) have proudly served Charlottesville and Central Virginia for more than 44 years.

Wells’ father started Intrastate Pest Control with one truck in 1969. Today, Intrastate Pest Control is the trusted market leader for all residential and commercial pest control services in Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley. Wells created a fully integrated company when he lanched Intrastate Service Company. ISC is able to solve any issue that may arise with your home or commecial property.

In his free time, Wells volunteers as a baseball coach at Albemarle High School. He is also a passionate University of Virginia and youth sports supporter.

After years of working in real estate, Mary’s love of animals and caring nature lead to her founding of Caring For Creatures, Central Virginia’s first no-kill animal sanctuary. Caring For Creatures fosters and rehabilitates abused and neglected animals, sponsors animals in need of medical treatment and creates a safe home for elderly and disabled animals.

David Thomas is a UVa Law alumn who practices commercial law for Michie Hamlett Attorneys At Law. He is also on the Board Of Directors at Albemarle County Service Authority. The ACSA is an association that looks to sustain and preserve Charlottesville for a better tomorrow.

4. Andy Zemon, The Zemon Team, Greenwood Lending

Andy Zemon has helped over 1500 families in his job as a loan officer at The Zemon Team. He works with his clients at a personal level, and helps them find the right plans to fit their specific needs. Zemon is no desk jockey, though. In his spare time, he is a volunteer fire fighter.

Kris Jensen is a CVillian born and raised. Jensen’s work has earned him the 2005 title “Real Estate III Rookie Of The Year.” He has also been a proud member of the CAAR Honor Society for several years, as well as the VAR Honor Society. Kris Jensen is married to an Albemarle County School teacher. Her name is Maureen Murphy Jensen.

6. Jenny Peterson, Owner/Sugarista, Paradox Pastry

Jenny Peterson has been a baker since her first easy bake oven. Her passion for taste mixed with her love of design lead to the creation of some of Charlottesville’s most beautiful and tasty treats.

Laura Van Camp’s (right) new thrift shop, Trade, focuses on a lower carbon foot print by selling top brand, second hand clothing. As well as saving the Earth from more factory smoke, Trade also uses green cleaning supplies and recycled shopping bags. Laura is also the owner of Jean Theory, an incredibly popular boutique on The Downtown Mall.

8. Corbin Snow, Owner/President, Snow’s Garden Center

Corbin is the fourth generation owner of Snow’s Garden Center. Since 1912, Snow’s Garden Center has been supplying Charlottesville with high quality plants and landscaping. Aside from his business, Corbin also hosts the longest running garden show in the world, “The Snow Knows Gardening Show” on NewsRadio 1070 WINA. Additonally he has danced, and won, at The Critter Ball raising $33k for the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA.
