Enjoy with Italian, Thai or any dish that complements basil seasoning. The complex flavors, including fennel, reawaken the palate with each fresh glass.

Notch 9 gets its unusual name from the 8-throttle notch positions on a locomotive, with each one delivering progressively more power. Notch 9 ratchets it even higher. It is an unfiltered double IPA with a citrusy aroma from a crazy amount of dry hops. As it flows over your palate, you’ll sense grapefruit and pine. It washes down with a dry crisp finish. Incredibly smooth and straw in color, it delivers the goods on strength. Sip this beer alongside a plate of cured meats or bacon to boost the umami and saltiness of the dish. Pair it with a funky cheese like Stilton or sharp cheddar.

4. Everyman’s Porter, Moustache Brewing Co., Riverhead, NY

The dark beer for people who don’t like dark beer. Lighter bodied with strong notes of coffee and dark chocolate in the aroma that carry to the flavor. Easily drinkable.

Home Rule, a style-defying India Pale Lager, is as delicious as it is unique. A pilsner malt base and Atlas’ house lager yeast provide a clean and crisp backdrop for late and dry hop additions of New Zealand Waimea hops. Balanced bitterness and playful hop aromas of citrus fruit will have you reaching for sip after sip.

6. Blonde Hunny, Wild Wolf Brewing Company, Nellysford, VA

An unfiltered Belgian style Blonde Ale with wheat and a lot of local honey in every pour. We have also added a special spice blend to give it an added kick. Smooth and refreshing, but be careful – this one’s ABV will sneak up on you. This beer is straw yellow in color with a slight sweetness in the middle and an estery finish characteristic of the best Belgian beers.

This crisp clean dark lager begins with hints of roasted coffee beans and rich chocolate but showcases a surprisingly light body and mouthfeel. This Schwarzbier (German for “Black Beer”) is moderately hopped with Noble German hops that complement the delicate malt backbone. Not to be underestimated this light lager is a true champion of flavor! Caw!

7. Big Red Rye, Young Veterans Brewing Company, Virginia Beach, VA

A red rye india pale ale. This beer combines a full bodied and complex malt profile with flavors of rye and intense hop flavor and aroma. It’s crystal clear red appearance, delectable fruity aroma, and lasting foamy head make it a drink to remember. With multiple additions of Amarillo and Pearle hops it appeals to the experienced ‘hop-head’ while still maintaining drinkability glass after glass.
