Ashley McMillen & Steel Magnolia To Play Caring For Creatures Benefit Concert

Mary Birkholz, President and Founder of Caring For Creatures, has a heart for saving animals. With her home on “The Sanctuary,” she cares for the cats and dogs of CFC 24/7. Her passion is to give these animals a loving environment and to find good homes for them with caring families.

This year Caring For Creatures is celebrating 25 years of saving lives. To celebrate their Silver Anniversary they have Steel Magnolia, Academy of Country Music’s 2012 Vocal Duo of the Year, headlining a benefit concert at The Paramount Theater in Charlottesville, Virginia on November 1st. Charlottesville favorite, Ashley McMillen will open the evening’s festivities.

“Caring For Creatures is honored to have country music superstar Steel Magnolia highlighting our stage on November 1st,” Mary says. Steel Magnolia and Ashley McMillen “are passionate animal lovers,” Mary explains.

“Following our Benefit Concert at The Paramount Theater, we will launch our Auction For The Animals, that will feature an online auction that will culminate in a live auction at Quinn & Farmer Auctions in Charlottesville.”

Susan and Molly Caring for Creatures works to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, neglected, abused, or otherwise homeless dogs and cats.

They also permanently care for elderly pets and animals with special needs, as well as fund a program to support animals in need of emergency veterinary care.
