Almost 250 years ago, Thomas Jefferson built his Monticello in our gorgeous town of Charlottesville, Va. Starting as a tobacco plantation, Jefferson’s property soon became a wheat plantation; however, Jefferson always wanted a little more. He had envisioned being surrounded by vineyards and wines, so he took it into his own hands and planted a vineyard. Unfortunately Jefferson was never able to experience his full vision during his life, but now, a few centuries later, his vision has come to life.
