Citizen Burger Bar [est. June 2012] is a classic American burger joint with a pulse and a palate. They aim to keep things ridiculously simple while offering you the very best of everything – and maintaining focus on ingredients local to our home of Charlottesville, Virginia. Owner Anderson McClure puts the name in a nutshell rather well:

“The name Citizen is pretty perfect for what’s happening here – it’s a way to explain our two-part mission: highlighting fresh, authentic, responsibly grown ingredients from the place we call home, and creating a laid-back inviting atmosphere for our customers.
