In a tragic accident (at least for beer lovers), Hardywood Park Craft Brewery lost 50 barrels of their Bourbon Gingerbread Stout. That’s about 1,500 gallons of beer, forever lost.
Their post on Facebook explained the details of the loss:
“With heavy hearts we must announce that due to a clamp failure we had to watch 50 barrels of Bourbon Gingerbread Stout come rocketing out of one of our fermenters last night. Think opening a shaken up can of coke 21 thousand times that size.
“The good news is that we were able to save a portion of the beer which will be sold at the regular price on Saturday. Quantities will be very limited… so, get here early! Bottle pre-sale starts at 1PM. Doors open to the public starting at 2PM.”
