Meet Burnley Vineyards

Burnley Vineyards: open Fri-Mon 11am-5pm.

Burnley Vineyards is one of the oldest Vineyards in the Monticello Viticultural Area with 32 acres of vineyards: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Orange Muscat, Muscat Blanc Chambourcin, Vidal and Norton. Burnley Vineyards is a family operation.

After first planting in the spring of 1977, the first grapes were harvested in 1980. From 1980 through 1983, all of their grapes were sold to other Virginia Wineries. In 1984 they started their own Virginia Farm Winery and have been adding to their vineyards every year.

Currently with 32 acres of grapes, they currently produce 5,000 cases and 95% of their wines are grown at the winery.

The Reeders have been deeply involved with the Virginia Vineyards Association, Virginia Wineries Association and the Governor’s Wine Growers Advisory Board.
