The Bluegrass Grill and Bakery is a personal favorite for this foodie. There’s a good reason the brunch wait is out the door. A slice of warm gooey pie with a cup of fresh coffee makes it all worth while.

Chandler’s Bakery has been a great little known bakery to the shoppers in Albemarle Square, but their new location in Rio Hill Shopping Center will hopefully bring them some much deserved recognition. Soon we’ll be able to enjoy all their sweet treats and great prices.

Breadworks serves up some amazingly delicious fruit pies like apple blueberry streusel. They also make a rich butterscotch pie.

Family Ties and Pies has been selling beautiful and tasty pies at farmer’s markets and now Palette at Stonefield. They are also available at Pippin Hill Farm, La Taza and through Relay Foods. Try their apple raspberry crumb!

The Mudhouse is known for its great coffee and tea selection, but their pies are the perfect pairing for a warm cup of French roast. Their mini tarts are also great.
