Tyson’s Corner Allows Drinking While Shopping; When Will Charlottesville Do The Same?

Tyson’s Corner Center will now allow 21-and-older shoppers to drink alcoholic beverages while shopping. “Shopping With A Twist” launches on November 8 at the iconic luxury shopping epicenter in Northern Virginia.

Shoppers cannot bring their own alcoholic beverages. They must purchase booze from participating restaurants within Tyson’s Corner.

When will Charlottesville City Hall push a similar strategy for The Downtown Mall?

A “Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area” on The Downtown Mall will drive enhanced brand awareness, new customers and incremental revenue to merchants and also increased revenue to Charlottesville City Hall.

It’s a win-win-win proposition for shoppers, merchants and City Hall.
