Flow Automotive Companies announced that it has acquired Jim Price Hyundai in Charlottesville. This change of ownership also involves a relocation, with Flow Hyundai of Charlottesville now situated at 1313 Richmond Rd. on Pantops Mountain, having moved from its previous location on Seminole Trail over the weekend.
This acquisition follows Flow Automotive’s recent purchase of Price Kia in July of this year. Other Charlottesville dealerships recently acquired by Flow include Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Subaru and Toyota—all purchased from Umansky Automotive Group in April of 2023. Flow now has 15 franchises in Charlottesville and continues to grow in Virginia.
“Charlottesville has been important to our family for the past 50 years, beginning with my time as a student at the University of Virginia,” Don Flow said. “We are pleased with this opportunity to continue to grow in Charlottesville and we are grateful to the Price family for providing us with this opportunity. We are committed to providing extraordinary personal service for our customers and to fully engaging in the Charlottesville community.”
“We love Hyundai and we are excited for our partnership with Hyundai to continue to grow, especially in Charlottesville,” Eric Flow said. “Having both graduated from UVA and lived in Charlottesville after we were married here, my wife and I consider Charlottesville our first home. The Price family has taken pride in serving the community for decades; it will be our honor to continue the tradition.”
“We are grateful to be making this transition with a company like Flow, who we know shares our commitment to the community, our employees, and our customers,” Sandra Price Amato said. “Today is bittersweet but the timing was right and we are confident in the future of Hyundai in Charlottesville.”
Charlottesville-based Jim Price Automotive Group has been in the automotive industry since 1968 and continues to serve the community through its ownership and operation of Jim Price Chevrolet at 2150 Seminole Trail. The transition of Price Hyundai to Flow Automotive ownership is expected to be seamless, with no interruption to daily operations.
